This drive for excellence started early. He earned a degree in zoology from Brigham Young University, graduating Summa Cum Laude (“with the highest distinction”) as class valedictorian. As an undergraduate student, he grew fluent in the Spanish language during a two-year stay in Chile. He became Dr. Nielson after completing dental studies at University of Washington in Seattle, where he graduated as the top student in the class. At dental school, Dr. Nielson received numerous awards and recognitions for his work with restorative dentistry, periodontics, orthodontics, and dental implants.
Dr. Nielson has been active in clinical practice for more than a decade, primarily in Arizona. Since becoming a dentist, he has taken hundreds of hours of continuing education, dramatically exceeding the state’s licensing requirements. In 2013, Dr. Nielson earned the extraordinary distinction of Master in the Academy of General Dentistry.
Today, the doctor takes special interest in full mouth rehabilitation, implant dentistry, cosmetic services, and sedation. However, he enjoys all aspects of general practice, meeting new patients and building lasting relationships. Dr. Nielson is known for an individualized approach, working closely with each patient to develop personalized treatment plans for healthy lifetime smiles. He even provides his personal mobile phone number for the highest level of responsiveness to patient needs.
