Invisalign Teeth Straightening in Phoenix AZ Area

Imperfect smiles with gaps and misaligned teeth may impact a patient’s self-confidence. However, many patients of all ages may avoid talking to their dentist about straightening their teeth for fear of being told traditional braces are the only option available to them. Fortunately, with continued advances in the field of orthodontia, patients now have another option to consider for improving their smile. This system is known as the Invisalign clear aligner therapy, simply known to many as “Invisalign.”

What is Invisalign?

Invisalign orthodontics is the latest, most innovative way to straighten teeth. It consists of a series of transparent aligners made from smooth, comfortable, and nearly invisible plastic that are virtually undetectable in your mouth. The Invisalign system has been clinically proven for over many years and is available for adults and teens.

All about the aligner system

The Invisalign system uses a series of clear, removable aligners to very slowly move your teeth. Each aligner is custom-made for your teeth and moves them just a little bit at a time. You’ll wear each aligner for about two weeks before moving on to the next one in the series. As you replace each aligner, your teeth will move gradually each week until they’ve straightened to their final position that we determined together at the beginning of treatment. You’ll visit us every four to six weeks so we can ensure that your treatment is progressing as planned.

Am I a candidate for Invisalign orthodontics?

Contact our office to learn more about Invisalign and whether it’s right for you. We can schedule you for a consultation appointment, during which Dr. Timothy Schmidt will evaluate the teeth and determine if the patients are good candidates for this treatment. Most individuals with mild to moderate misalignment of the teeth and bite may benefit from this solution, eliminating the need for unsightly metal appliances covering the teeth.

What are the benefits of Invisalign orthodontics?

Dr. Schmidt is an Invisalign provider who can evaluate patients and talk to them about this treatment’s many advantages. Some benefits of Invisalign include:

  • The ability to straighten your teeth without anyone knowing you’re doing it
  • Removable, so you can eat and drink what you want during treatment
  • Brush and floss normally to maintain good oral hygiene
  • Fewer office visits than with traditional braces
  • No metal brackets or wires, which means less irritation in your mouth
  • Clear, so they’re practically invisible to others
  • Affordable and often comparable in cost with conventional orthodontia
